We have been playing a few gis while our site was down. We had the pleasure of playing at the FLirkus farewell party in Aarhus and at a Miss Mukupa concert in Haderslev. We would therefor like to big up the promoters for a couple of nice evenings. Big up FLirkus (looking forward to see you guys next year;) and big up Reggae regionsyd for a wild evening in Haderslev.

It took a while but now its here, the mixtape that has poseponed in almost a year now. It is a mix of 71 tunes and it takes through various aspects of the reggae and dancehall genre. From NU Roots, 90's dancehall and contemporary dancehall. You can listen to and download from the audio menu. So don't hesitate!!!

Updates 25.08.09: Big respect to the Raggapak crew! Next gig; Present Aarhus 2009

A little late, but we have to big up the hole of the Raggapak crew for an amazing festival in the woods around Silkeborg. The place has evolved a lot since the first year and a lot of new people showed up! Though the amount of people has increased, the vibe is still friendly and free! We were playing friday night on the smallest scene and even though Rootsman Hi-Fi were playing on the dancehall tent our dancefloor was packed. Kali-Ma will be looking forward to next year!

Present Aarhus is an annual event which has its focus on underground music that covers a lot of different genres that includes elctro, dubstep, reggae, hip hop and more. The reggae event this year features the retired danish dancehall groupe Bikstok Røgsystem who made dancehall known to the danish people. Kali-Ma and Universal Soundsystem will be playing before and after the concert and we look forward to hang out with our friends from Universal and see a reunited Bikstok pon the battlefield.

The time has come for the annual reggae festival in the forrests around Silkeborg! You simply can't miss this event. The venue in it self, has a lot to offer, so if reggae is not your thing come either way and enjoy the beautyful nature and the sweet vibe of the location.

The festival takes place from the 13-16 of august (this weekend), and of course Kali-Ma will be playing among lots of other soundsystems as well as artistes. To check out more about the program and artistes Click here

This saturday we played in Hamburg for the first time. It was alongside Joshua (Bushfire/Silly Walks), Denali Sound and the upcoming artiste Joggo. The evening went well, and we were honoured to be playing in front an experienced reggae massive in Hamburg.

Big up Joscha for a nice evening at his club, for the tour in the local studio and for an overall nice treatment. Bless! Big up Joggo for a wicked show, and of course we have to big up Denali Sound every time - You're Large!

The festival formerly known as "Glade Dage i Thy" Has changed it's name to "Thy Lejren 09". We will for the first time, be playing at the well known venue. We are looking forward to be playing alongside friends such as; Pharfar, Blunt and LHT Soundsystem at the 3 days long festival. We'll be blazing up the fire at 00.00 Friday night (Saturday morning). First of all we have to big up Rootsman Hi-Fi, Firehouse and Universal Sound for pulling off a wicked show at the friendly clash @ Roskilde Festival.

Last but not least we would like to big Pharfar for a night to remember at the Roskilde Festival. Surely it should be made the new traditional way to end the festival from now on.

The latest big news on the summer is that Kali-Ma will be featured at this years Roskilde Festival (Sunday 5/7 from 23.58 onwards at Arena stage), as a part of Pharfar Presents a Rub'aDub Night in Roskilde. It's going to be a massive show, with mini-soundclash between the 4 leading Danish sounds, sets from the Danish Rub'a Dub Crew and the mighty Pow Pow Movement outta Germany and finally live performances from the legend Max Romeo and fresh hitmaker Ziggi outta The Netherlands. Big things a gwaan inna Odense: finally Odense has a regular reggae/dancehall night. Every Friday in Café Kræz this summer you can shake your thing to your favourite reggae riddims. Kali-Ma Sound will hit Odense C this friday with an all night session full of good vibes. Join us from 10pm to 3am and dance the night away-it's gonna be a blast. Blauuw! Café Kræz

Boyaka Sound (http://www.dancehall.dk/soundsystems/boyaka), one of the oldest sounds in Denmark, are celebrating their 15 years aniversary with a mini tour around the country.

In Aarhus they will be playing longside Kali-Ma at Ragga Pakhuset (Nordhavnsgade 1), and we are looking very much forward to welcoming them to a Big night of Celebration with reggae and dancehall music for your feet to move to-all night!!!

On this night Kali-Ma will be visiting the bands' hometown at the venue called 'Knuds Garage' which is where you'll find the underground music scene of Kolding. So if you should be in the neighbourhood, you should stop by and check out what Kolding has to offer reggaewise and we'll make the promise – you won't get disapointed!!!

After the succes at Operaen last week Kali-Ma Sound will once again be playing alongside the veteran reggae selector King T (Groovy Sound) and Reculture. In the beautyfull setting of Drumspot 2008 H/F Søvang, Åbyhøj. Come along and give peace a bubble and a whine!!!

Kali-Ma Sound will be playing alongside Shungu, Reculture and Denali Sound at the art project ‘Operaen’ in Aarhus on the last night of ‘festugen’ (the festival week). The project itself is really a venue worth seeing, and with the 2 best bands and the 2 best sounds of Aarhus playing it’ll surely be a blessed night full of nice vybz, good people and a lot of dancing. So this I definitely the place you want to find yourself on an evening like that.

Kali-Ma on a roadtrip! Rented a car and travelled to the little island of Fejoe, where we were asked to come and play after the bands. Kali-Ma came onstage around 12 pm. It was immense!!! Good support from the audience. The Fejoe people proved to be mad inna dance – digging the vybz, dancing, singing and making it an evening Kali-Ma will never forget

So all Fejoe massive; big up yourselves every time and thanx for a cozy evening and for taking so good care of us – bless!!

Denali Sound invites you to a night worth remembering! The monthly event "RaggaPakhuset" reopens after the summer holiday and does it with a blast!

Kali-Ma Sound and Denali Sound will be playing along side the winner of the danish soundclash championship; Rootsman Hi-Fi (http://www.myspace.com/rootsmanhifi) in an all night session that ends early morning at 5 am!!!
